THE PHOTOGRAPH

A DEAD WOMAN ON A BEACH

A MAN HANGING FROM A TREE

A MISSING WOMAN TWENTY YEARS EARLIER

AND A PHOTOGRAPH OF FIVE YOUNG MEN THAT HIDES A CHILLING SECRET

Amy Gray is a detective in a small seaside town that is rocked to its core when a successful local woman is found washed up on a beach.

Charlie Steele is a Manchester solicitor looking for new excitement. He finds it when the death of his client turns up an old photograph that provides a clue to a long-held secret.

Jessica Redmond is an intern for Spencer Everett, the Home Secretary tipped to be a future prime minister, who discovers that all is not what it seems with her charismatic boss.

As they each delve deeper into their own mysteries, their worlds become entwined, and the more they work together, and the secrets of the photograph are revealed, the deadlier it becomes.

The Photograph is the first book featuring Amy Gray and Charlie Steele.

It is a book I wrote whilst working in the courts, helping to clear the pandemic backlog, so it took me longer than I expected. I wanted to write something I liked, a book that zipped along and carried the reader with it. I can only hope I've achieved it, but the feedback I've received so far gladdens my heart.

I don't know whether it will be my last book, or the beginning of a new chapter. I'm not writing at the moment, but I've got some ideas, and there is one in particular I'm thinking long and hard about.

If it is my swansong, it's a good one to go out on.
